Erasure Poetry for FPR

This Old Acquaintance

A stone
to roll to ground,
Take root to place
It shoots.
See air
The sky my view,
Of bare the snow and cold.
Old tree, this tree,
Came axes,
and carried it away.
Of leaves to shade
around, to lay
There all alone.
